In a meeting with the members of the Campaign to Save Lives of Nepalis Affiliated to Russian Army today, Prime Minister Prachanda said that the government will take high-level initiatives for the rescue of Nepalis serving in the Russian Army.
"I myself will take the initiative at the high-diplomatic level," Prime Minister Prachanda said, “I have spoken to Nepalis on the battlefield, and their situation is being discussed through diplomatic channels.”
Earlier, the families of Nepalis serving in the Russian army had staged a sit-in in Kathmandu demanding the repatriation of Nepalis serving in the Russian Army.
The sit-in was stalled after Buddhi GC, the Public Relations Expert of Prime Minister Prachanda, expressed his commitment to address their demands.
In line with the same commitment, Prime Minister Prachanda today met the members of those families and vowed to bring back Nepalis from the Russian Army.
