Four houses robbed at gunpoint in Lahan; five injured

Four houses have been robbed by detonating a bomb at Lahan in Siraha district.

An armed gang barged into four houses based at Lahan Municipality-17, Haripur on Monday night and decamped with Rs 500,000, said SP Ramesh Pandit of District Police Office, Siraha.

A team of police that was deployed has recovered a bullet of a gun and the debris of another bomb exploded from the incident site.

Five residents from the homes that were robbed sustained injuries in the aftermath of the protest with the robbers. Yogendra Yadav and Niranjan Yadav among those injured have been referred to Biratnagar after a preliminary treatment at the Provincial Hospital, Lahan.

Police said they are investigating the case and are trying to nab the looters.
