14 injured as Bolero jeep carrying funeral attendants crashes in Dolakha

Fourteen students were injured when a Bolero jeep carrying funeral attendants met with an accident in Dolakha district.

The ill-fated jeep, Bagmati Pradesh, 01-02 Cha 9813, carrying funeral attendants met with an accident at Melung Rural Municpalitty-1, Chimte, on Wednesday morning, said District Police Office, Dolakha.

The condition of one among those injured is said to be critical. The injured has been referred to Kathmandu for further treatment, said Police Inspector Jivan Shrestha of District Police Office, Dolakha. The other injured are receiving treatment at a local hospital. 

The accident took place when the villagers who were returning home after attending funeral rites for Tak Bahadur Karki, a local.

The break-failure is the cause behind the accident, according to the police.
