A Nepali team has left for Malaysia to take part in Sepaktakraw World Cup 2024 to be held in Kuala Lumpur from coming Saturday.
Minister for Youth and Sports Biraj Bhakta Shrestha bade an adieu to the team amidst a ceremony on Thursday.
The team captained by Roshan Tamang includes Dipesh Jung Thapa, Umesh Bhadur Mahato, Anil Jargha Magar, Bijaya Mahato and Padam Thada Magar.
Similarly, Shyam Bahadur Shrestha is the coach, Netra Prasad Gurung (team manager) while Nesir Maske will take the responsibility of International Technical Officer.

A total of 21 countries are taking part in the World Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, from May 18.
Nepal is placed in Division 1 of the Sepaktakraw World Cup 2024, competing alongside nine other teams. In contrast, the Premier Division boasts 12 teams.
