Nepal is facing United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their second meeting under the FIFA World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup 2027 today (Thursday). This is the second leg of the second-round qualifiers.
The match will start at Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia at 9:45 pm.
This match is being played in Saudi Arabia after Dasharath Stadium, the only international football stadium in Nepal, lacked sufficient infrastructure to hold the tournament.
Earlier, Nepal lost to UAE 4-0 in the first leg match. Similarly, Nepal will pay another match against Yemen in Saudi Arabia itself on June 11.
Nepal, which is in Group 'H' under the World Cup Qualifiers, has lost all the four group stage matches. Nepal lost to UAE 4-0 and to Yaman 2-0. Likewise, Nepal lost to Bahrain 5-0 in the first leg and 3-0 in the second leg.
