Cabinet decides to recall Nepali ambassadors from 11 various countries

In a major diplomatic move, the government has decided to recall Nepali ambassadors from 11 different countries.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday decided to recall Nepali ambassadors from various countries including India, Israel, Portugal, America, and others, a minister told Nepalkhabar.

According to the minister, Nepali Ambassador to India, Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Gyan Chandra Acharya (UK), Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal (Spain), Dr. Ram Swarth Rai (Denmark), Prof. Shridhar Khatri (USA), Kanta Rijal (Israel), Prada Jyoti Pyakurel (Bhandari) ( South Korea), Navraj Subedi (Saudi Arabia), Naresh Bikram Dhakal (Qatar) and Nepali Ambassador Dilliraj Paudel to Malaysia have been recalled.

With the change in the power coalition, CPN (UML) was piling pressure on the ruling alliance to recall the ambassadors close to Nepali Congress. UML will also get a slice of the pie in ambassadorial appointments.
