A woman has been arrested with Rs 515,000 fake banknotes in the Kathmandu Valley.
A team of District Police Range, Kathmandu apprehended Tara Devi Dangol with Rs 515,000 in 1,000 denominations from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, Kalanki on Saturday night.
Acting on a tip-off that Dangol was dealing with counterfeit banknotes, the police team raided the tea shop and confiscated the fake banknotes. Dangol runs a tea shop at Kalanki.
Police said they are carrying out further investigation into the case after taking Dangol into custody.
