Rohit Kumar Paudel, the captain of the Nepali national cricket team, has said that the addition of spinner Sandeep Lamichhane to the Nepali team will be very beneficial.
Speaking in the press conference on the eve of second match under the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Captain Paudel said that West Indies' pitch is very convenient for a spinner-bowler.
“With the inclusion of the wicket-taker Lamichhane in the team, Nepal will have an opportunity to win more matches with Lamichhane's experience and skills,” said Paudel.
Saying that Nepal has an opportunity to beat Sri Lanka, they have made a strategy to play accordingly.
“West Indies pitch is very good for a spinner. Nepali team will benefit from spinner Lamichhane. I think Sri Lanka will have more pressure than us. Most of the dot balls are being played," Rohit said, adding, “If the batsmen score 140 runs, the team is likely to win. We have a strong team and are excited about the match against Sri Lanka tomorrow.”
Paudel further said that the team that can bear the pressure will win.
