Brazil enter FIFA World Cup quarter-finals defeating South Korea 4-1

Brazil have entered the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup with a 4-1 victory over South Korea in last night's match.

Within the 36th minute of the first half, Brazil left South Korea behind by 4-0. However, no goals were scored by the either side in the second half.

South Korea had improved its defence in the second half of the match after receiving humiliating 4 goals before the first round of the match ended.

For Brazil, Vini Junior scored the first goal of the match in the seventh minute, Neymar in the 13th minute, Richarlison in the 29th minute and Lucas Lucas Paquetá in the 36th minute.

In the 76th minute of the game, South Korea's Paik Seung-ho scored a consolation goal for his team. The Brazilian goalkeeper could not stop Seung-ho's long shot from outside the D-box.

Brazil have reached the quarter-finals of every World Cup since 1994. Brazil, the most successful team in World Cup football, is the only team playing all the World Cups till date.

Eying the title for the sixth time this year in Qatar, Brazil have won the title 5 times as it reached the finals seven times in World Cups. 

Brazil exited from the knockout stage only two times in World Cup football. It had to return home from the round of 16 in the second World Cup in 1934 and in 1990 only.

Reaching the finals three times, they have won the title twice in the last seven consecutive World Cups.

They have reached the semi-finals four times till date, including in World Cup 2014.
