Three people died in a car accident that occurred while it was heading to Butwal from Palpa on Wednesday night.
The accident took place near Nuwakotgadhi View Tower in Butwal-13 at 8:30 pm yesterday, informed DSP Bijaya Raj Pandit of the District Police Office, Rupandehi.
"The deceased have been identified as car driver Ram Prasad Sharma, 46, of Putalibazaar, Syangja, currently staying at Butwal-10, Ashika Shrestha, 57, and Bhagwati Shrestha-50, of Tilottama-3," DSP Pandit told Nepalkhabar, "Chanda Shrestha, 56, of Butwal-9, Milanchowk, and Lakshita Shrestha of Butwal-11 were injured in the accident."
The injured are receiving treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital. Their condition is out of danger.
The car, Lu 2 Cha 8531, went out of control and fell some 100 meters down the road when it was returning to Butwal after visiting View Tower, the police said.
