Chinese citizen held with six kilos of gold, Rs 4.8 mln cash

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested a citizen of Chinese origin along with six kilos of gold.

CIB spokesperson Superintendent of Police (SP) Hobindra Bogati said that the arrested person is 37-year-old Sonam Gurung.

He said, "A citizen of Chinese origin named Sonam Gurung has been arrested from Kathmandu with six kilos of gold. Further investigation is being conducted in this matter."

According to the CIB, the police also recovered Rs 4.8 million cash from the arrested Gurung's house.
