A youth died after a scooter he was riding was struck by a truck at Balkumari in Lalitpur on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Ramesh Kumar Pandey of Tinpatan Rural Municipality-7, Sindhuli, currently staying in Balkot, Bhaktapur, SP Naresh Raj Subedi told Nepalkhabar.
The accident took place when the scooter, Ba 83 Pa 8178, heading to Gwarko from Koteshwar was struck by a truck, Bagmati Province, 02-3-0010 Kha 5357, heading toward the same direction.
"Critically injured Pandey, who was rushed to B and B Hospital in a taxi by polilce with the help of locals, breathed his last in the course of treatment," Subedi told Nepalkhabar.
The body of Pandey is at B and B Hospital. His relatives have been informed of his death, said Subedi.
