Lightning strikes kill four in separate places

Four people have died after being struck by lightning strikes in separate places of the country.

According to the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, lightning strikes killed two people at Yasodhara in the district while they were working in the field this morning.

The deceased are Raju Thakur, 17, of Buddhabhumi Municipality-19, Dhankauli and Mahesh Kalwar, 22, of Yashodhara Rural Municipality-6, Bhaisahiya, confirmed DSP Hari Bahadur Wali.

Similarly, two individuals died after being struck by lightning strikes in Kailali.

According to DPO, Kailali, 31-year-old Jayaram Dagaura of Joshipur Rural Municipality-3, Bhitriya and Salin Chaudhary,47, of Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City-18 died after being struck by lightning strikes.

Similarly, three children sustained injuries due to lighting strikes in Ghodaghodi Municipality-9, Kailali. They were heading to school when the lightning struck them, said the police.

Critically injured kids have been referred to Kohalpur Medical College after a preliminary treatment at Godaghodi Hopital, informed police.
