India thrashes England by 68 runs to enter final of ICC World Cup

India entered the final by defeating defending champion England by 68 runs in the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

To stop England from reaching the target, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah grabbed two wickets for India.

On the batting side, England's Harry Brook took the highest 25 runs followed by captain Jos Buttler with 23 runs while Jofra Archer and Liam Livingstone contributed 21 and 11 runs, respectively.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Providence Stadium, Guyana, India notched up 171 runs losing seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Captain Rohit Sharma topped the score with 57 runs including six fours and two sixes followed by Suryakumar Yadav with 47 runs while Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja 23 and 17 runs, respectively. Similarly, Axar Patel contributed 10 runs.

On the bowling side, Chris Jordan took the highest three runs giving away 37 runs in three overs. Similarly, Reece Topley, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid grabbed one wicket each.

India and South Africa to lock their horns for title
India has reached the final by defeating defending champion England. South Africa has already reached the final by beating Afghanistan by nine wickets. The final between India and South Africa is scheduled to be held at Barbados at 8:15 pm on Saturday.
