Two missing after being swept away by floods, driver rescued

Two people have gone missing when an auto-rickshaw (Ra. 6 Ha 4055) which was going to Khadrai from Tulsipur, was washed away by the swollen Bechani River at Tulsipur Municipality-4.

Police Inspector Prakash Thapa of the area police office Tulsipur shared that among those missing are 55-year-old local Sita Ale and 16-year-old Manju Khadka from Surkhet.

The police said that the search for the missing person is underway. 

Auto Rickshaw washed away by floods, driver rescued
An auto-rickshaw was swept away by the flooded Kalakhola of Tulsipur along the Ghorahi-Tulsipur road section of Dang. The incident took place light night.

The driver of the auto-rickshaw (Ra. 1 Sa. 2357) 22-year-old Durga Pun, a resident of Tulsipur-7, has been rescued, said Police Inspector Prakash Thapa of Area Police Office Tulsipur.

Due to excessive rain, the flood water from the Kalakhola has been flowing over the road.
