An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded with its epicenter around Ankhop of Taplejung this afternoon.
The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, Lainchaur has confirmed the tremor that occurred at 4:04 pm today.
Earlier, a tremor of 4.1 magnitude occurred with its epicentre near Khejenim of same district on July 28.
