Five people including four Chinese nationals have been killed in a helicopter crash in Nuwakot district on Wednesday afternoon.
One among those killed is the pilot Arun Malla while remaining four passengers are Chinese nationals. One among four Chinese nationals is a woman, confirmed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
They have been identified as Chinese nationals Mr. JUTAD TANG, Mr. JIE LI, Ms. YIYAD WU, Mr. ZEMING XIG, according to the passengers’ manifest issued by the Air Dynasty.
The chopper of Air Dynasty with the call sign 9N-AJD which was flying to Syafrubesi from Kathmandu crashed at Suryachaur in Nuwakot district. The chopper had gone out of contact after 2 pm.
According to Bir Bahadur Tamang, the ward chairman of Shivapri Rural Municipality-7, five bodies have been found in the incident site.
The chopper has been badly damaged.
