Indian spiritual guru Pilot Baba has passed away.
He breathed his last in the course of treatment in a hospital in Mumbai, India. He was 86.
Samhitashastri Arjun Prasad Banstola informed that he received his education in 1974 from a Nepali Saint Hari Giri Maharaj at Trikhandi in Makwanpur.
He is called Pilot Baba because he was a pilot in the Indian Air Force before receiving education from a Nepali guru. Eventually, he became famous by this name.
Pilot Baba has built the Pilot Baba Ashram at Gyampedanda in Suryabinayak Municipality of Bhaktapur. He used to come and stay in the ashram from time to time.
He has many disciples in Nepal who are involved in various professions and businesses including doctors. He used to provide shelter to Nepalis by providing accommodation, food, and other facilities while going to Kumbha Mela in Prayag, India.
Pilot Baba was born as a member of the royal family of Bihar's Saharsa district. He used to run ashrams called Juna Akhada in many places including Haridwar and Gangotri. He was also given the title of Mahamandaleshwar.
It is said that mourning will be celebrated for three days from Tuesday in all ashrams of Juna Akhara. According to Indian media outlets, he will be laid to rest in the holy land of Uttarakhand.
