Prakash Tamang meets PM Oli

Prakash Tamang (Kale Moktan) who spent over three decades at Chhekampar (Tsum Valley) in Chumanubri Rural Municipality of Gorkha district has met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Prakash met with Prime Minister Oli at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar on Monday evening.

"Prakash Tamang came to visit me this evening after receiving citizenship," Prime Minister Oli wrote on social media on Monday night, "It will pave the way for him to get other opportunities. It made me feel happy. Good night!"

He came to Kathmandu from Bhojpur to meet Prime Minister Oli.

Prakash came into the limelight after the story 'Lost Years' was aired on the YouTube channel called 'Herne Katha' recently.

Citizenship was granted to Prakash at his house in Shadananda Municipality-10, Chhaple village, Bhojpur on Sunday.

Surendra Udas, mayor of the municipality, handed over the citizenship to Prakash in the presence of ward chair Prem Dorji Sherpa, head of local administration office, Binod Gyawali, and chief executive officer of the municipality, Mohan Chapagain.

After his story was aired on YouTube channel 'Herne Katha', Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli directed Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal to make arrangements to grant citizenship to Prkash.

He had reached Bhojpur from Gorkhar on Saturday. Prakash, who went missing in his childhood, has returned home after 30 years.
