Three people, including the vice chair of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality of Rukum East, Bhapendra Budha, died in a jeep accident that took place in Bhunkhani, Galkot Municipality-2, Baglung on Friday morning.
Chief District Officer of Baglung, Netra Prasad Subedi, informed Nepalkhabar that three people, including Vice Chair Budha, died as the government vehicle, No. Ra 1 Jha 200, met with an accident.
The ill-fated jeep was traveling to Rukum East from Kathmandu when it met with an accident at Baglung.
"The vice chair of the rural municipality has died. The identities of the other deceased are being established," Subedi told Nepalkhabar.
Another woman was injured in the same accident. The injured woman has been taken to hospital for treatment.
The vice chair Budha was elected from CPN (Maoist Center).
