The Nepali Army has organized a special function to mark the United Nations Day at the NA headquarters in Bhadrakali on Thursday.
A special function was organized at the NA headquarters in the present of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli this morning.
Addressing the function, Prime Minister Oli appreciated the initiatives taken by the United Nations for the establishment of world peace and disaster management and the contribution made by the Nepali Army to realize it.
A squad of Nepali Army performed drills and presented various cultural dances. Meanwhile, an NA chopper showered flower petals in the program venue, which further added a touch of elegance to the function.
The United Nations was established on October 24, 1945.
The UN General Assembly held in 1947 had announced October 24 as the UN Day in the UN Charter.
