Dilu Limbu, a Nepali athlete based in Hong Kong, has achieved success in her age group category at the Hong Kong 129 Ultra Trail Race. Meanwhile, Bedraj Limbu has secured a coveted UTMB ranking.
Dilu Limbu, a Hong Kong resident, finished fourth in the women's category, completing the 129-km race in 23:15:03. Finland's Johanna Antila finished first covering the distance in 20:54:44 followed by Hong Kong's Xiaoqing Sun (second) and China's Jun Zheng finished third.
Despite finishing fourth under the women's category, Dilu Limbu managed to become first in her age group category. Now she will participate in the tri-country race to be held in Europe.
"I have achieved success in my age group category," Limbu told Nepalkhabar," It has paved the way for me to take part in the tri-country race to be held in Europe."
Padam Kumari Sunuwar had also participated in the event, representing Nepal.
Similarly, under the Men's category, Bedraj Limbu, the chairman of Hong Kong Nepali Ultra Trail Running Association, finished 10th by completing the race in 20:32:32.

"We have made it to the top ten. This success has paved the way for us to take part in the tri-country race to be held in Europe," Bedraj shared with Nepalkhabar, "The credit of this success goes to the entire team who worked with us tirelessly day and night."
Similarly, Rabin Kumar Limbu and Bhesh Raj Bhattarai had also participated in the event.
A total of 346 athletes from 72 countries had participated in the TranceLantau Hong Kong World Series marathon, organized by UTMB World. Out of the 346 athletes who participated, 187 marathoners successfully completed the allotted distance, whereas 159 were unable to finish.
This TranceLantau Hong Kong World Series marathon had been held on November 8-10.
This is a popular ultra-marathon that many runners around the world aspire to complete.
