Former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who is doing time in police custody, has been presented at the District Court, Kaski.
The District Attorney produced Lamichhae at the court and preparations are underway to file a case against the captive on the cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering.
Meanwhile, the security situations have been tightened in the district headquarters of Kaski.
The District Attorney Office is filing a charge-sheet against 31 individuals including Lamichhane on the cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering today.
Lamichhane has been serving term since October 18. It was speculated that a charge-sheet would be filed on Friday itself as an accused can be kept in the custody only for 90 days in accordance with the law.
The term expired on Friday midnight. The next day was Saturday (holiday). Hence, we are filing a charge-sheet today," said Kamala Kafle, the chief f the District Attorney Kaski.
