Five Nepali people have been rescued from Myawaddy of Myanmar and repatriated to Nepal.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, four Nepali men and one woman were rescued and repatriated to Nepal.
Prior to this, they had been taken to Thailand after rescuing them from Myanmar via Tak Immigration Office Mae Sot.
They were sent back to Nepal with the help of IOM Thailand on December 17. One woman was repatriated to Nepal on Tuesday, the Embassy said.
Meanwhile, the government has urged Nepali citizens to seek foreign employment only after obtaining a work permit.
They have been strongly advised not to seek employment in Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand with the lure of lucrative job positions in these countries, as they could be deceptive, too.
