Govt serious about land encroachment by Indians in Kanchanpur: Home Minister Lekhak

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the government is serious about the land encroachment by Indian nationals in Kanchanpur.

The issue of land encroachment by Indian nationals inside the Suklaphanta National Park in Kanchanpur was raised by a lawmaker during a meeting of the State Affairs Committee, Home Minister Lekhak said. The government is serious about it.  

 “Information has come from many sources that Indian citizens are farming on our land,” Lekhak said, “The government is serious about it and is trying to find a solution through diplomatic channels.”

Home Minister Lekhak said that the government is serious about protecting its encroached territory.

UML MP Raghuji Pant and Nepali Congress MP Dilendra Prasad Badu drew the attention of the Home Minister to this issue in the meeting of the State Affairs Committee today.
