Ahuti (Bishwa Bhakta Dulal) has been elected as the General Secretary of the Scientific Socialist Communist Party.

The first general convention of the party held on January 3-5 in Kathmandu formed a 51-member central committee (CC) led by Ahuti.

The party organized a press conference on Wednesday and made public the decisions of the first meeting of the newly elected CC by the general convention.

"The convention of our party has endorsed a party statute and a political report outlining a new communist movement for the contemporary era, with resolutions of engaging in parallel economic, political and cultural activities," General Secretary Ahuti told journalists, "The party has also resolved to adopt a people's democracy-based organizational system, replacing the traditional pyramidal structure."

Ahuti further said that his party will launch ideological discourses among the revolutionary communists and take the initiative in unity among them.

Similarly, a unified front will be formed among the revolutionary forces for the sake of nationality, people's democracy and livelihood in the country, he said.
