A meeting of the office bearers of the CPN (Maoist Center) is taking place at the party's central office in Parisdanda, Koteshwor, at 2 pm today.
Maoist Center General Secretary Dev Gurung said today's meeting would focus on the formation of a new government and the selection of the leader of the parliamentary party (PP).
"It is time to give the country a government and we would also discuss other contemporary issues," Gurung told Nepalkhabar.
The Maoist Center is clear regarding the PP leader and there are no disputes within the party on it. Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' is being elected the PP leader unanimously.
However, the meeting has been called to discuss other issues, including government formation.
Earlier, the office bearers had met on December 3 and 4.
