Nat'l women's football captain Anjila leaves for Greece to play club matches

Captain of the national women's football team, Anjila Tumbapo Subba, who had arrived Nepal to play in the International Women Championship Football Tournament, left here today for Greece.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) spokesperson Suresh Shah, central member Pema Dolma Lama and National Women Football Team manager Bindra Dewan, among other officials, saw her off at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Anjila left for Greece to play in the professional club football league there. She plays as a goalkeeper for the Greek A Division club Nees Atromitou Club in Greece.

Nepal were defeated by Maynmar, 0-2 goals, in the International Women Championship final played on February 26. In addition to Nepal and Mayanmar, the national women teams of Lebanon and Kyrgyzstan also played in the Championship. (RSS)
