Crooned noted singer Amrit Gurung at Adaile in Australia as the song filled with longing and introspection echoed the concert hall.

The hall was choke-a-block with audiences on Friday evening. A couple were dancing to the tune of this soulful song, which was quite intriguing.

While the musical raucousness slightly subsided, I asked, "How are you feeling?" "We don't understand the lyrics, but it feels as if every audience is deeply connected to the music, carrying them away by its soulful rhythm and captivating melodies," the couple responded.

They further said, "The entire hall is singing with the singer, this is a new experience for us."

I found the couple immersed till the end of the concert. At times, they were seen asking the other audiences next to them for the meaning of the lyrics.

Nepathya, a folk-rock band, is currently performing concerts in Australia. A concert was organized at Adelaide, as part of its musical concerts, on Friday.

The entire hall buzzed with the excitement and cheers and joined in chorus as Gurung started singing:

Shirphoola Shiraima

Ban Phoola Banaima

Hiun Ko Phoola Dhaulashreema …

The mountain sceneries displayed on screens were reminding audiences of their homeland, as the singer was performing live.

The other song, "Gaun Gaunbata Utha, Basti Bastibata Utha" by Amrit evoked kinetic emotion in the audiences. The entire hall buzzed with cheers, with audiences raising their hands and repeating the words after the signer.

Amrit sang his hit numbers including Jomsomai Bazaar Ma, Mai Nanche Chhamchhami, Bhendako Unjasto during the concert.

As Amrit was singing "Rato Ra Chandra Surya, Jangi Nishan Hamro", audiences fluttered national flags which evoked a patriotic atmosphere resonating throughout the hall.

During the concert, Dhruba Lama supported Amrit on the drum set, Subin on the bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on the guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on the madal, and Dinesh Raj Regmi on the keyboard.

The band has already performed its concerts in Canberra, Perth, Brisbane, Horwath and in Adelaide as its fifth show.

Now, it will perform its next show in Melbourne on March 24. It will wrap up its Australian music tour after performing two shows on March 29 and 30 in Sydney, the organizer has said.
