Pro-monarch demonstrators have vandalized the glass of a business house of an entrepreneur and set a fire to another house at Tinkune on Friday.
The tension flared after demonstrators ran amok and started attacking security personnel without going to the site designated by the Kathmandu District Administration. According to Saugath Dahal, a correspondent of Nepalkhabar, who is currently at the demonstration site, the situation is still tense. The irate demonstrators broke down a police post and are pelting stones at the security personnel, currently.
In response, the police have fired teargas shells, used water cannons and even resorted to aerial firing to bring the situation under control.
A fire engine has been used to douse the fire at Tinkune. So much so that the fire engine was also attacked by the protestors with stones.
The situation took a nasty turn after the vehicle which was escorting Durga Prasai's vehicle entered the restricted zone.
