Kuwait has won the title of the Quadrangular T20 Series held in Hong Kong.
Kuwait bowled out Nepal for 171 runs in 19.3 overs while the latter was chasing the 175-run target set by Kuwait.
Despite Basir Ahamad's higest 80-run score, Nepal could not reach the target after Basir, the last bastman of Nepal, was out for 80.
Basir hit 8 fours and 4 sixes off 43 balls. Similarlly, Nandal Yadav notched up 37 runs while Aasif Sheikh contributed 21 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
In reply, Anudeep Chenthamara took the highest 3 wickets followed by Yasin Patel and Naveenraj Rajendran with 2 wickets each. Similarly, Mohammed Aslam and Mohamed Shafeeq grabbed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Mong Kok Cricket Ground in Hong Kong on Sunday, Kuwait notched up 174 runs losing seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Ravija Sandaruwan topped the score with 63 runs off 36 deliveries followed by Clinto Anto with 26 runs while Usman Patel contributed 23 runs.
In reply, Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav took two wickets each while Karan KC and Kushal Bhurtel claimed 1 wicket each for Nepal.
