Two people have died and 14 others sustained injuries in a vehicle accident that occurred at Makwanurgadhi in Makwanpur district in the wee hours on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as 13-year-old Manusi Magar of Bagmati Municipality-7, Sarlahi and Nilam Devi Raut, 50 of Bhawani Rural Municipality-5, Rautahat, the police said.
Nilam who sustained critical injuries in the incident passed away in the course of treatment at Hetauda Hospital at 4 am today while the body of minor girl was retrieved from a stream nearby the incident site.
The electrict van (EV), Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 7072, which was heading to Hetauda from Kathmnadu, met with an accident at Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-2, Dharampani, at 1 am today.
The vehicle had fallen some 200 meters down the road, according to the police.
A total of 16 people were traveling in the vehicle.
