The agitating teachers have announced that they would not participate in the 12 exams scheduled to begin from April 24.
On the other hand, the National Examination Board (NEB) has decided that it would conduct the exams even by deploying employees.
Following the NEB's decision, the Nepal Teachers' Federation said teachers would not participate in the exams.
Federation Chairman Laxmi Kishor Subedi said, "We have no objections to the government's decision to conduct the 12 exams but teachers and head teachers will not participate in them."
The disgruntled teachers have announced from the streets itself that they will not participate in the exams.
They have been staging demonstrations with various demands for the last 21 days in Kathmandu.
The teachers' demonstration has continued even though the government has been assuring that it will enact School Education Bill 2080 through the Budget Session.
Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Bidya Bhattaria, who was trying to address the concerns of teachers, has resigned from her post. Minister Bhattarai submitted her resignation to Prime Minister KP Oli on Monday evening.
