Police have arrested Mahiman Singh Bista, a section office at the Supreme Court, who issued the arrest warrant for Resham Chaudhary, the patron of Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP).
Bista was taken under control for issuing the arrest warrant on his own, an official at the apex court said.
He was arrested by the security unit at the Supreme Court and sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu for a necessary action.
Earlier, the Supreme Court Administration had investigated the circumstances surrounding the issuance of the arrest warrant. Bista was later arrested after it was discovered that he had issued the warrant on his own discretion.
After making the necessary corrections, the Supreme Court is dispatching the letter.
The apex court is issuing a press release on this matter in a while, said Achyut Kuinkel, the spokesperson for the Supreme Court.
