Rainfall has occurred in some districts of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces on Tuesday morning.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, rain occurred late last night and this morning in districts including Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, and Udayapur in Koshi Province.
Similarly, the Division reported rainfall in Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, and Mahottari districts of Madhesh Province and in Sindhuli and other districts of Bagmati Province.
Currently, rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in some districts of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces.
Additionally, the Division stated that light rain compounded by thunderstorms is occurring in a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. As this weather system is moving toward the northeast, the Division has urged everyone to take necessary precautions.
Last night, Kathmandu Valley and nearby districts also witnessed rain with thunder, lightning, and strong winds. Today, the Meteorological Forecasting Division predicts rain in many districts.
Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds. Additionally, moisture-laden winds entering from the Bay of Bengal are partially affecting Nepal's weather system, meteorologists said.
