Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Dr Swarnim Wagle has commented that the policies and programs brought by the government are dull, aimless and unappealing.
Deliberating on the policies and programs in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, lawmaker Wagle said the policies and programs have not addressed outstanding issues of the people and the country.
"The government’s policies and programs are uninspiring, aimless, and lack vision," said Wagle. "They should have broad, well-defined objectives. What are the country’s policies during severe natural disasters or economic crises? It lacks a strategic planning."
Even though the seven-point agreement reached to form the incumbent government has a provision to control corruption, these commitments have become a farce. "The commitments of standing against corruption, delivering good governance were mentioned in the seven-point agreement," said Wagle, "Now, these provisions have become a farce."
One of the seven point agreements was to amend constitution amendment but the government has not done anything on it, alleged Wagle.
The two-thirds majority government has failed to live up to the expectations of the people, nor has it administered justices to the people, said Wagle. "I found despair even within the ruling parties," said Wagle, "Let the opposition parties alone."
