Around 469 Nepali workers have been left unemployed after Jubail-based Sendan International Co. Ltd. went into liquidation. Some affected workers have appealed to the Nepali Embassy in Riyadh for assistance in securing final settlements, repatriation, or job transfers to other companies.
The Embassy has assured continuous diplomatic efforts to address the issue. Documents for exit visas for those wishing to return to Nepal have been submitted to Saudi labor authorities. However, delays persist due to technical updates in the visa issuance system.
On May 14, the embassy held discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Labor Ministry, urging faster exit visa processing and smoother job transfers for affected workers. A virtual meeting was also held with the workers to gather details for finalizing legal procedures.
Workers have been advised to remain patient and contact Third Secretary Dinesh Prasad Shiwakoti at +966 558900339 for urgent food, housing, or health-related concerns.
