Meanwhile, a joint secretary of the Nepal government has been arrested by the anti-graft body. Tirtha Raj Bhattarai, joint secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, was arrested this afternoon in connection with the visit visa scam.

Bhattarai was transferred to the Home Ministry after promotion on Tuesday itself.
