The Communist Party of China (CPC) has held in-depth discussions with political parties from neighboring countries, including Nepal. The two-day discussion focused on the theme, "Building a Community with a Shared Future with Neighboring Countries: Political Parties in Action."

Over 200 leaders from political parties across Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and Russia participated in the meeting. The event was also attended by several ambassadors to China, along with representatives from think tanks, media outlets, and businesses, as well as Chinese delegates.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, also chairman of the People's Justice Party; Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif; and the leader of the Thai Party, Thailand's Prime Minister, sent congratulatory letters to the meeting.

Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a speech during the dialogue. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, in his capacity as the current ASEAN chair, praised China's leading role in strengthening regional solidarity, mutual trust, and exchange. He also appreciated China's significant global initiatives and contributions to promoting regional harmony, resilience, and progress.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz underlined the need for countries in the region to strengthen unity when facing complex global changes. He stated that Pakistan highly values the important international concepts and global initiatives put forth by President Xi Jinping, as well as the goals and directives established by the CPC to promote the common interests of neighboring countries.

In her congratulatory letter, Thailand's Prime Minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, stated that the exchanges and dialogue between the CPC and political parties from neighboring countries would help strengthen and develop Thailand-China relations and promote mutual understanding and trust among countries in the region. She affirmed Thailand's steadfast commitment to developing relations with China and expressed anticipation for more fruitful outcomes from bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Similarly, in his keynote speech, Liu Jianchao stated that China is a major country with the most land and maritime neighbors. He said, "For a long time, China has practiced good relations with its neighbors, accompanied them as partners, sought mutual trust, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness, and is committed to building a community with a shared future with its neighboring countries."

Liu Jianchao clarified that China would continue to deepen development integration with neighboring countries, enhance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and build a closer, open common market in the region.

Meanwhile, Liu also expressed China's willingness to further promote traditional friendship, strengthen strategic communication, support each other on issues related to their core interests and major concerns, and work together to maintain stability.
