The southern neighbor India is experiencing a rapid spread of coronavirus infections.

According to Indian media, 21 people have died of coronavirus infection in India in the last two days alone.

Most recently, on Saturday, a 63-year-old man in Bengaluru and a 60-year-old man in Delhi died due to COVID-19.

Currently, the number of active infections in India has reached 3,783.

Kerala has the highest number of cases with 1,400 infected individuals, followed by Maharashtra with 485 and Delhi with 436 COVID-19 cases.

Indian media has reported that over 1,000 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 48 hours.

According to India’s Department of Health and Family Welfare, 28 people have died due to COVID-19 since January, with 21 of these deaths occurring in the last two days.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has issued a notice urging people to wear masks in crowded places, maintain physical distance, and pay special attention to sanitation. It has also advised people to get tested immediately if they experience fever, cough, chest pain, or difficulty in breathing.

Due to the open border with the neighboring country, the increasing spread of COVID-19 in India has naturally raised the risk in Nepal as well.
