The meeting of the House of Representatives is on hold as the meeting between chief whips of opposition parties and Speaker Devraj Ghimire ended inclusively.

The chief whips reiterated the demand of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak during the meeting arguing that he has been implicated in the visit visa scam, sources have said.
They have vehemently stated that they would not allow the House meeting to run until a high-level prove committee is formed to look into the scam and Home Minister tenders his resignation.
Speaker Ghimire had called a meeting with the chief whips of the opposition parties after they continued disrupting the House meetings. The chief whips of opposition parties left the meeting after no agreement was struck.
Maoist Center Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey said they have been sticking to their previous demand. "We will not allow the House run until a high-level probe committee to look into the visit visa scam is formed," he told Nepalkhabar, "The ruling alliance did not agree to it. We quit the meeting after they did not heed to our demand."
The ruling alliance has been reiterating that the Home Minister should be allowed to clarify himself in the House meeting and there is no reason for him to step down.
