Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided not to budge an inch from its stand on the visit visa scam and to intensify its protest in the parliament.
RSP and RPP have been disrupting the HoR meeting demanding that Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak step down over his 'involvement' in the visit visa scam
A secretariat meeting of the RSP held on Wednesday evening took a decision to this effect. The HoR meeting has been affected due to the protest of opposition parties including RSP.
In a bid to smoothly resume the House meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire has held a meeting with the chief whips of five political parties prior to the HoR meeting.
In the meeting held in Baneshwar, besides Ghimire, CPN (UML) Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Sushila Thing, Maoist Center Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey, RSP Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar, RPP Chief Whip Gyan Bahadur Shahi and Law Minister Ajaya Chaurasiya were present in the meeting.
The HoR meeting, which was scheduled for 11 AM, has not started yet.
