ACC U16 Men's East Zone: Nepal sets record 421-run target for Indonesia

Nepal has set a record 421-4un target for Indonesia in the ACC U-16 Men's East Zone Cup, thanks to a century scored by Prashiddha Jaishi.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Nepal scored 420 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

For the first wicket, openers Prashiddha Jaishi and Parimarjan Yadav made a flying start for Nepal with a 130-run partnership off 62 balls. Jaishi topped the score with 132 runs. He hit 15 fours and 1 six in 114 balls before being caught out. Yadav scored 71 runs off 28 balls, including 4 fours and 8 sixes, before being caught out on the last ball of the 10th over.

For the third wicket, Prasiddha and Raunak Srivastav added a 148-run partnership off 136 balls, steering Nepal toward the record total.

Raunak Srivastav was caught out after scoring 88 runs. Joy Thapa added 57 runs before getting out. Shiwansh Bajgain returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.

Sugam Budhathoki remained unbeaten on 39 runs, while Roshan Shahi stayed not out on 10 runs.

Indonesia is now batting against Nepal.
