Nepalkhabar has entered its tenth year today. Nine years ago, on July 8, 2016, we embarked on a new chapter in digital media, pledging our commitment to journalism based on accuracy, balance and credibility. Our dream was to make Nepalkhabar a medium of digital dialogue among Nepali people at home and abroad. Following that dream, over these nine years, we have earned the trust of Nepali communities across the globe.

Those challenging nine years have been a journey of learning and achievement for us. Observing Nepal’s changing political, social, and economic landscape through the eyes of citizens, we fearlessly presented news, analysis, and opinions. We dug into political distortions, policy corruption, and malpractices within the bureaucracy, striving to present facts. When Nepalkhabar uncovered how middlemen were manipulating appointments to regulatory state bodies for their own benefit, we even faced legal challenges for our reporting. However, these efforts, which yielded concrete results, have made us more responsible.

During this journey, Nepalkhabar’s reach has expanded remarkably. Through our Hong Kong edition, we have connected further with Nepali diaspora abroad, bringing forth the stories and concerns of Nepalis in Hong Kong and the UK.

The English edition has presented Nepal’s true picture to the Nepali diaspora and non-Nepali speakers. Similarly, the YouTube edition has delivered our stories to audiences in a lively and engaging manner.

This nine-year journey was certainly not easy. Rapid technological advancements, changing reader interests, and questions raised about journalism’s credibility constantly inspired us to adopt new thinking and strategies. But, as stated in our inaugural editorial—we never forgot accuracy, balance and credibility. Our commitment to nationalism, democracy, socio-economic justice, and civil rights remains unwavering.

In the coming years, we aim to strengthen Nepalkhabar further. By leveraging new information technologies and more engaging content, our goal is to make Nepalkhabar a robust platform for positive dialogue and change.

Nepalkhabar’s purpose is also to unify Nepali hearts and emotions while enhancing Nepal’s image globally. The feedback and support from our readers, advertisers, and well-wishers will empower us in this mission.

On the occasion of entering its tenth year, Nepalkhabar has also introduced a new logo. The letter ‘N’ of Nepal, along with the symbolic bell of news alert, will now be Nepalkhabar’s logo. We have chosen the bell—a globally recognized symbol of communication—as a representation of digital media, signaling the alerts of new news.

It is your support that has made Nepalkhabar a trusted voice for Nepali people worldwide. On this special occasion, we extend heartfelt gratitude to our visitors, viewers, news sources, advertisers, well-wishers, and our hardworking team members.

With fresh news, analysis, and inspiring stories, Nepalkhabar will always remain with you.
