Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has alleged that the Madan Bhandari Foundation is being treated like a private entity.
Prime Minister Oli made these remarks while administering the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected office-bearers of the Madan-Ashrit Academy during an event held in Chyasal, Lalitpur, on Monday.
"The Madan Bhandari Foundation is being treated like a private entity, as if it belongs to an individual or a family," Oli stated, "Instead of serving the party’s purpose, it is being misused just to make money."
Expressing dissatisfaction over the leadership of the Foundation, Oli stated how it will function in the upcoming days. "How it will function in the days ahead," said Oli, "It is yet to be seen."
Usha Kiran Bhandari, the daughter of former President Bidya Bhandari, is the incumbent chairman of the Madan Bhandari Foundation.
