Thousands of people paid tribute to the departed soul of Gangadhar Hada, the Principal of Medha Secondary School, on Wednesday.
Over 5,000 people from various walks of life including guardians, teachers, students, participated in the funeral procession.
Attendees with their eyes full of tears, offered floral tributes to late Hada. His body was kept on the premises of the school from 10 am to 12:30 pm for general public to pay tribute. The funeral procession started in the afternoon, passed through Gopalbansha, Golmadhi, Inacho before reaching the crematorium.
The final rites of Hada, who passed away on Monday, were performed at Hanuman Ghat in Bhaktapur on Wednesday.
Hada had played an instrumental role in intransforing an ordinary school into the best school of the nation, winning the hearts of many parents and guardians.
