Government vehicles set ablaze during the Gen Z movement protests on September 9 are currently piled up at the Parliament building complex in Baneshwar, Kathmandu.
As the protests turned violent that day, the then-Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned and sought protection under a military escort. Protesters set fire to and destroyed numerous buildings belonging to the country's key governing bodies—the legislature, executive, and judiciary—along with many vehicles across major cities.

The situation was brought under control only after the army took over security around 10 pm that night.
Following initiatives by the Nepali Army, President Ramchandra Paudel, and the Gen Z leaders, the country got a new government. Sushila Karki became the new Prime Minister, and in her cabinet's first expansion, Kulman Ghising, Om Prakash Aryal, and Rameshwar Khanal were appointed as ministers.

Upon assuming office, Minister Kulman Ghising ordered the collection of all burnt vehicles from Singha Durbar and other government offices. Consequently, the Parliament complex is now filled with the piled-up wreckage of these vehicles.
