The body of Bipin Joshi, who was killed while being held hostage by Hamas, is being brought to Nepal today.
According to the government, his body will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu today at 3:00 pm.
Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Urban Development, Kulman Ghising, informed that he is scheduled to be at Tribhuvan Airport at 3:00 pm today to receive Bipin's body and to pay his last respect.
"I was stunned after hearing this news. One of our bright young men had to fall victim to this inhumane international violence. I express my deepest sorrow and offer heartfelt condolences on his untimely demise. My heart goes out to the grieving family," Ghising said. "The unprecedented courage, bravery, and sacrifice he displayed even in that final moment of tragedy saved the lives of many other friends. This heroic act of Bipin is the greatest legacy of his life. It will keep us all proud of him forever. He will always remain among us as a symbol of Nepali pride."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Bipin's body will be transported to his home in Kanchanpur from Kathmandu in coordination with the Nepali Army.
Before repatriating the body to Nepal, a ceremony was organized in Israel on Sunday to pay tribute to Bipin Joshi.
According to Reuters, representatives of the Israeli government, officials from the Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv, Nepalis working in Israel, and representatives of the families of those taken hostage by the Hamas group participated in the tribute ceremony held at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel.
Bipin, a resident of Bhimdatta Municipality-3, Bhansi, Kanchanpur, had gone to Israel in late September 2023 from Tikapur Agriculture Campus in Kailali under the 'Learn and Earn' program.
Meanwhile, during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, 10 Nepali students were killed, and Bipin was abducted. Hamas took Bipin hostage and whisked him to Gaza after he attempted to save his friends by throwing away a grenade tossed by Hamas.
Seventeen Nepali students were living on the agricultural farm in the Kibbutz area. With the confirmation of Bipin's death, the number of Nepalis killed in the Hamas attack has reached 11.
