The body of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali student, who was killed in the Hamas-Israel war, has been brought to Kathmandu.
Bipin's body arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday afternoon. Prime Minister Sushila Karki offered a final tribute by draping a national flag over the body at the airport. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, among other ministers, also paid their last respects to the departed soul. Ministers, high-ranking officials, security personnel, and relatives were present on the occasion to offer their condolences. Following the tribute ceremony, the Nepali Army will transport the body to his home town in Kanchanpur.

Before being repatriated to Nepal, a tribute program was organized for Bipin at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel on Sunday. Representatives of the Israeli government, officials from the Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv, Nepali migrants in Israel, and family representatives of those held hostage by Hamas participated in the event.
A resident of Bhimdatta Municipality-3, Kanchanpur, Bipin had gone to Israel in late September 2023 as part of a 49-member student team from Tikapur Agriculture Campus, Kailali, under the 'Learn and Earn' program.

During the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, 10 Nepali students were killed, and Bipin was abducted and whisked to Gaza by Hamas. With the confirmation of Bipin's death, the number of Nepalis killed in the Hamas attack has now reached 11.
