Saroj Sharma's body found buried under bridge two days after his car found burnt

Saroj Sharma, who went missing from Maidhar, Shivasatakshi Municipality-10, Jhapa, on October 26, has been found dead. He had left home in his car that day and when he could not be found despite an extensive search, his family filed a complaint with the police.

According to DSP Khagendra Khadka of the Jhapa District Police Office, during the investigation, Sharma's body was found buried under the bridge of the Biring River, which flows between Jhapa Rural Municipality and Bahradashi Rural Municipality.

Earlier, on October 30, his car was found set ablaze in the Charali forest.

Based on this, the police, who were gathering evidence, detained two individuals this morning for investigation. Through this process, they uncovered the fact that Sharma was murdered, the car was set on fire, and the body was buried on the bank of the Biring River.

Police have arrested Sunil Sah (25) and Rahul Sah (26), residents of Maidhar, Shivasatakshi Municipality-10, in connection with Sharma's murder.

Sharma's body has been taken to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for post-mortem.

Police sated that further investigation into the case is underway regarding the cause of the murder and the possible involvement of other individuals in the crime.

Meanwhile, enraged locals have vandalized the house of the accused, Sunil Sah.
